MOSQUITO-BORNE DISEASES

Mosquitoes can carry diseases that may be passed on to people through mosquito bites. In Australia, some of these include Dengue Fever, Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya, West Nile Fever, Filariasis and Yellow Fever. Mosquitoes are most active in the summer months and you should take as many precautions as possible to adequatly protect yourself against being bitten.
